CPAs Roger Niello and Fiona Ma Introduce CPA Mobility Bill

CPA Assembly members Roger Niello and Fiona Ma have introduced AB 2473, sponsored by the California Board of Accountancy, to help address CPA mobility issues in California.

CalCPA supports AB 2473 and encourages you to speak to your local legislators and educate them on the importance of this bill to you and the businesses and individuals with whom you work. Ten other states have already enacted similar mobility provisions and 30 or more are pursuing changes this year.

  1. Richard Chinlund Says:

Requiring tax preparers to obtain permission to prepare a single out of state return from all 50 states would be a nightmare. If we require California licensing of out of state preparers, the other states would retaliate. Let us not get involved in a out of state war of tax preparers for an isolated return for someone moving into or out of California. I support mobility to better serve my clients.
