How do I qualify?

I think that this is a good idea. The courts are full of people calling themselves financial or forensic experts. The worst case I saw was an expert that claimed a doctorate from NYU, and the expert had never attended college in his life.
I have been contacted by other organizations and they were offering certification based on being one of the start up members. I have a great deal of experience in this area and would actively participate in this practice specialty group.
Best regards,
George Derry

Great idea. I have had an interest in this area for a long time, and have testified as an expert on several occasions, but haven’t been able to “crack” the monopoly that some CPA’s seem to have in this area. This would help in that endeavor.

Yes, I’d like to hear more as well…

Great idea to compete with NACVA in this area. What could set you apart from them is to develop an effective practice management program that promotes sales and startup requirements for practitioners inexperienced in ths area. Recruiting truly committed mentors partnered with a workable engagement referral network would also be welcomed.

My firm would certainly be interested in a forensic certification. We would be equally interested in consistent comprehensive standards for accounting experts.
Standard setting is an integral part of any discipline.
